In 2005 during Hurricane Katrina, The Cotton Companies, a national disaster recovery company saw a need to help children affected by unforeseen difficulties in their life. Through the devastating catastrophes seen during the recovery work that The Cotton Companies did The Cotton Foundation was founded and is dedicated to "restoring lives" to children that have been affected by obstacles in their life.
Through out 2006 the foundation did several toy drives to donate to the children at Texas Children's Hospital. After collecting the toys, several of our volunteers went to the hospital to visit with the children and leave them with a toy to brighten their day.
This year we were able to collect funds to buy a power wheelchair for a sixth grade student that was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at birth.
The Cotton Foundation has no paid employees and consist of individuals who give their time and talents to help a worth cause.
